Family
I am an only child, so I could never rely on family for entertainment. I love that Steven has siblings so close in age that we can hang out with. They really are some of my best friends. Our New Years Eve just went from Blah to Fun! Bowling with the family tonight!

Sonic racing
I've been needing something to do to help pass the time and while I dilly dally in some hobbies (mainly jewlery making and knitting) I just was missing something. Steven and I were out looking for a new video game the other night and considered Mario Kart, but it was just too expensive for our taste. We stumbled upon Sonic racing and it is GREAT! It is just like Mario Kart only with Sonic characters and we saved about twenty bucks! Guess what I'll be doing on my 3 day weekend!

A lazy day
Steven and I were both home today with nothing to do. We don't get to spend the day together often and when we do there is usually a to-do list a mile long, but today was different. Today we laid around playing video games and watching movies. It was great to be able to spend that time together and to not have to worry about what needed to be done.

A clean house
Steven and I are very busy during the week between work, appointments, classes, family and other random things that pop up so our house gets dirty fast. We come home set things down and leave again without things being put away properly. I love walking through the house though and being able to see it clean and to have it SMELL clean. Not that it stinks ever, but the smell of all the cleaning products doing their job makes me happy.

Mini-Vacations
Christmas is this weekend and I was supposed to be granted a 3 day weekend, which, I was grateful for. I was happy to have the extra day off, but couldn't help feeling as if that wouldn't be enough time to actually relax and recharge. Surprise of the day yesterday. I now have SIX days in a row off. That leaves me with enough time to be busy and enjoy Christmas AND relax and recharge. I'm very thankful for my mini-vacation!

Blizzards
The ice cream from DQ, not the snow storm. I love how many flavor options they have now and how they neatly categorize them for what kind of mood I'm in. It makes choosing SO much easier. Tonight's flavor: French Silk Pie.
Speaking of snow storms. I do not like them one bit because I do not like to drive in them, but if one would like to come along some night while my husband and I are both safely at home and it could keep us from being able to work for a few days, that would be fine by me!

Wavy Hair
I have lived a life of stick straight hair for 23 years. I've dreamed of a life with curly hair, not tight crazy curl, just those really pretty loose/wavy curls. Today I let my hair air dry with the intention of finishing it later for our Christmas party and I walk in the bathroom to begin getting ready and BAM a head full of semi-wavy hair. I hurried up and grabbed the can of hairspray and gave it a few extra scrunches. Today I am living the life of kinda curly hair and LOVING it!
